TTA - 1 CondylusΒΆ

The TTA - 1 Condylus measurement is a refined variant of the standard TTA (Tibial Tuberosity Advancement) procedure. Select the TTA - 1 Condylus
measurement from the Advanced Measurement menu
and assign the left mouse button to it.
The TTA - 1 Condylus measurement was developed to minimize complications, enhance stability and preserve more bone integrity compared to the earlier TTA techniques. It is considered as one of the latest generations of TTA procedures.
Start the measurement by marking the three points on the Condylus Medialis Tibialis.
Mark the three points on the main condylus of the tibial bone (Medialis Tibialis). Regardless of the order, make sure to mark the most cranial point, the most caudal point and the midpoint of the Medialis Tibialis. A circle will be automatically constructed based on the three placed points.
The image below represents a typical placement of the three points on the Condylus Medialis Tibialis.

Continue by marking the three points on the articular surface of the Condylus Femoris.
Mark the three points on the main condylus of the femoral bone (Condylus Femoris). Regardless of the order, make sure to mark the most cranial point, the most caudal point and the midpoint of the Condylus Femoris. A circle will be automatically constructed based on the three placed points.
The image below represents a typical placement of the three points on the Condylus Femoris.

Mark one point in front of the joint on the common tangent between the two circles. A line will be drawn automatically through the marked point.

Start the TTA measurement procedure by marking the most cranial point of the Patella.
The image below depicts the usual placement of the most cranial point of the Patella.
To complete the TTA - 1 Condylus variant of TTA measurement procedure mark the most dorsal point of the Crista Tibiae (Tuberositas Tibiae). The distance between the Tuberositas Tibiae and the line passing along the most cranial point of the Patella is the required adjustment for the TTA procedure.

Modify the points constructing the measurement to recalculate the required advancement that should be made during the TTA procedure.
