Viewing and Image Transformation Tools

Select/Move Item Tool (Default)

../_images/image229.jpg

The Default tool (similar to the tool in the simple viewer) allows users to change the position of the images loaded in the views, move and rotate the slicers, 3D volume and CMPR path points, as well as modify existing measurements on the scene. The right mouse button is assigned to this tool by default.

Rotation

Use the rotation dialog to rotate, flip and mirror images in the active MPR viewport. More information about how to use the rotation dialog can be found here.

Hide/Show Labels and Measurements

The CT Viewer offers three different options to manipulate the visibility of labels and measurements on the scene.

../_images/image155.jpg

All measurements and labels are visible on the images. This is the default state of the CT Viewer.

../_images/image331.jpg

All labels related to every measurement are hidden. The measurements remain visible on all viewports.

../_images/image134.jpg

All measurements and labels are hidden on the images.

Toggle between the all three states by pressing the Hide/Show Labels and Measurements button multiple times.

The icon of the button represents the active state in the CT Viewer. When either the labels or both labels and measurements are hidden, the button is toggled on.

Show/Hide List of Measurements

../_images/image50.jpg

The measurement list is an independent window displaying all of the measurements drawn in all MPR viewports. Press the Measurement List button in the left toolbar to open the window. The window will be automatically closed when closing the CT Viewer. Users can continue working in the VisioVIEW CT Viewer even though the list is opened in the background.

Each measurement in all MPR viewports is represented as a separate entry into the measurement list. All measurements contain the following information:

  • Color: The color of the measurement shape drawn on the scene.

  • View Box: The specific MPR plane this measurement was drawn in.

  • Active: Whether the specific slice which the measurement was drawn on is currently visible (active) in the viewport.

  • Type: The type of the measurement.

  • Value: Specific parameters describing the measurement (dimension, area, average, minimum and maximum HU values inscribed with the measurement).

At the bottom of the measurement list window, there are four separate buttons indicating various different actions with the measurements.

  • Show Measurement: Quickly and easily locate the specific slice that contains the selected measurement. The selected measurement will become active.

  • Delete Selected: Delete the selected measurement from the image.

  • Delete All Planar Measurements: Delete all planar measurements (drawn on the three standard MPR planes) from the images.

  • Delete All CMPR Measurements: Delete all measurements drawn on the CMPR slices.

Restore Default

../_images/image35.jpg

Reset all image transformations, slicer positions, as well as windowing settings back to the default. The measurements on the images won’t be removed.

Delete All Measurements

../_images/image145.jpg

Delete all planar measurements from all slices in the three standard MPR planes.
