Locate the downloaded VisioVIEW Setup installer file in the Windows File System. Open and activate the installer to start the installation wizard.

Windows will show a Microsoft Defender Smart Screen which protects the device from unrecognized applications. Press Run anyway to start the installation.

To install the VisioVIEW software, please complete the following steps

  1. ​Welcome to the VisioVIEW Installation Setup. Proceed with the installation by clicking on the Next button.

  1. ​Choose the installation directory of the VisioVIEW application. If there is an existing installation, please confirm whether it can be overwritten.

  1. Select the components required to be installed from the VisioVIEW Software.

  1. Set the initial Storage SCP settings. Default values are offered by the installer and users don’t need to change them; they can also be modified later. The following section is only visible if no valid VisioVIEW settings were found.

    • AE (Application Entity) Title: Unique identifier of the VisioVIEW modality on the DICOM network.

    • Listen Port: The port which the VisioVIEW modality uses for incoming PACS connections on the DICOM network.

    • Data Folder: Storage directory for the data being shared over the DICOM network from the VisioVIEW modality.

  1. Select the default language of the VisioVIEW application. Choose from the current supported languages (English, German, and Hungarian).

  1. By registering the DICOM file extension, Windows makes VisioVIEW the default software for opening .dcm (DICOM) files.

  1. By allowing to create a Desktop shortcut, users can easily access the application in the future directly from the Desktop.

  1. Accept the License Agreement and click Next to continue.

  1. ​Define or select the Start Menu where the program’s shortcuts will be created.

  1. Press Install to start the installation process. If prompted by the Windows User Account Control dialog, press Yes to allow the VisioVIEW to make the necessary changes in order to complete the installation.

  1. Wait for the installation setup to complete.

  1. Once the installation is complete, check the Open the VisioVIEW application option to open the application immediately after exiting the VisioVIEW Setup by pressing the Finish button.
