Z-Vector Calibration (Dataset Calibration)

The slices and the entire image is oriented in the scene based on the metadata available in the DICOM header. Dataset calibration refers to the process of manually adjusting the required parameters used to generate the slices correctly.

Select the Tools -> Z-Vector Calibration option from the viewer menu to activate this feature.

The available parameters for editing are opened in a separate dialog. Press OK to confirm the modification, or press Discard to close the dialog.

  • Pixel X and Y Resolution: The following parameters adjust the size of the pixels in both x and y dimensions respectively, affecting the size and resolution of the images.

  • Slice Interval: The distance between the slices in the volumetric data, ensuring the correct accuracy when displaying the slices in the viewport.
