Reorder DICOM servers by using the Move up and Move down arrows. The order of the DICOM servers in the list defines the order in the drop-down menu in the Study Browser.

Dicom Server Settings

  • Server name: Unique identifier for each DICOM server. The server name is crucial, as it represents the servers in the Study Browser dropdown.

  • Set as default server: Mark the selected server as the default DICOM server when opening the application.

  • PACS User: Username required to authenticate the initiating connection to the REST API.

  • PACS Password: Password required to authenticate the initiating connection to the REST API.

  • PACS REST Limit: Limit the number of studies loaded from the REST API. Use 0 to always load all studies from the server.

  • PACS Search Limit: Limit the number of studies when searching the entire database via the REST API.

  • PACS Cache Threshold: Allowed threshold difference between the actual server information and the loaded server cache information. Limits the number of times the software performs a complete refresh of the server data.

  • Load DICOM Images Manually: Manually transfer DICOM images from the selected server by pressing the Transfer button in the study/series preview.

  • Load DICOM Images from VisioPACS Folder: Load all DICOM images directly from the PACS folder of the selected server.

  • VisioPACS Storage Folder: Specify the path to the VisioPACS directory where the DICOM images are stored.

If none of the two options below are toggled on, the software will automatically download all DICOM images from the server whenever a new study is selected. Carefully configure these parameters to ensure the most suitable approach is chosen.
